The Price is Right addicts love to watch this renowned daytime game show especially for moments when contestants have a chance to win a brand new car. With the exception of the Tesla Roadster a few years back, the typical new car offered to win on the program is nothing exciting. Viewers expect to see a base model Toyota Corolla or perhaps a stripped down Ford Escape, but surely not a nearly $300K supercar. My favorite part of the video is watching the Price is Right contestants and crowd react to the car being revealed. It’s pure pandemonium. I can’t imagine a better car for the Price is Right to break its most expensive prize record and make a statement that they are willing to give away much more expensive prizes then you might have expected. I can easily say that the Ferrari 458 Italia is my favorite car. It drives like a dream and has become well embedded into my Powerball jackpot dreams. I can only assume that the convertible version of the Ferrari 458 that I drove is even better. Perhaps where the car lacks in structural rigidity it makes up for in overall sensory enjoyment with the top down. Watch the video below and see if the Price is Right contestant wins this new Ferrari 458 Spider on the game show or blows her chance.

Sweet SRT Viper Time Attack
If you want to be the envy of your local race track or neighborhood for that matter, then look no further than the new SRT Viper Time Attack. The name says it all with this Viper. It’s a mean machine strategically tweaked and tuned to ensure that fellow racers are seen through the rear-view-mirror at the track. The SRT Viper Time Attack (TA) was developed from the competitive spirit of Ralph Gilles who serves as President and CEO of SRT. During a press event Gilles witnessed the majority of the participating drivers prefer the C6 ZR1 Corvette to the new SRT Viper as well as the Viper run a slower time around the legendary Laguna Seca course. These observations drove him to spearhead the Viper Time Attack project with the sole mission of beating the Corvette ZR1 at Laguna Seca.
The SRT team gave the newest Viper a range of performance enhancing features including all of the performance options available on the other Viper models. This includes Carbon Fiber Aerodynamics Kit plus a Track Pack, which offers high-performance lightweight brakes, suspension, wheels and tires. On the SRT Viper Time Attack though, the brakes are substantially larger. The car’s suspension offers smooth and rough track settings, although does not have a “street mode” despite being a road ready street legal car. Beyond this, the Viper TA simply goes on diet and sheds a few pounds with the help of a carbon fiber X brace and sticker emblems replacing the typical metal variations.
The SRT team’s hard efforts ultimately paid off. Not only did the new Viper beat the Corvette ZR1’s impressive Laguna Seca lap time, but it achieved a track record for fastest production vehicle around the course. Now we just have to wait and see if Corvette will rise to the challenge of thumping the new Time Attack edition’s record. 2012 Super Bowl Car Commercials
Did you watch the Super Bowl this year? Well in case you didn’t get a chance, then you missed out on some relatively remarkable car ads this year. We have gathered all of the 2012 super bowl TV car ads for you to enjoy. The Superbowl game is now arguably more enticing to watch for the amazing high budget commercials, then the game itself. Last year the Super Bowl car commercial that stood out from the rest was a gritty Chrysler 200 commercial featuring the city of Detroit and rap legend Eminem as the stars. The 2012 Superbowl featured several funny, clever and compelling car ads such as the humorous, but memorable Chevrolet truck ad taking place during an apocalypse. We think that the Ferris Bueller Honda ad was the most interesting, funny car commercial that conveyed some of the vehicles benefits in the most clever ways. We encourage you to leave a comment below and let us know which 2012 Super Bowl car commercials were your favorites and why.
